About Us

Stand Strong Research was launched in early October of 2010 to provide a comprehensive financial, business, and economic informational service to consumers and investors around the world.

  • Economic News. We provide daily news stories related to general economics, essential market data, gold, oil, corporate news, and other related and pertinent financial and economic news events.
  • Investing Advice. We provide guides and theories for successful short-term and long-term investing, whether in stocks, real estate, personal business, or other investment vehicles.
  • Financial Editorials. We provide financial editorials on getting out of debt, finding financial security, discovering financial freedom, and building a strong financial education.

In the future, Stand Strong Research will also provide premium guides on extremely important areas that every consumer and investor should master, like understanding “peak oil”, the future world food shortage, and the worsening water shortage crisis.

Not understanding these areas can be destructive — but having a comprehensive background will allow you to be poised for massive-yet-secure profits.

The Philosophy

Stand Strong Research is dedicated to the following financial and investing philosophies:

  • Security. Securing the basics of food, shelter, health, and transportation are the pillars of any well-thought-out personal financial paradigm.
  • Income. Speculation should be kept at a minimum, and only as a hedge — profits should be oriented toward income investing. This will provide a more flexible portfolio, and provides opportunities to grow one’s net worth more in the long term.
  • Freedom. Liberty is the highest political value, and for good cause — once you’ve tasted freedom, you can’t return to the irrationality of chains. This is also true for finance. Becoming debt free and having a portfolio that allows you to not be tied down to any one job, business, or even location is important for financial freedom.
  • Justice. If you haven’t earned wealth, it’s wrong to consume someone else’s. Profits should be earned through productive and helpful business and finance. “Paper shuffling” should be kept to a minimum. One’s portfolio should be productive and efficient — not just profitable. Profit is good, but it’s not all that finance is about.

The Staff

Stand Strong Research is managed by a small yet efficient staff. The SSR staff helped create the design, philosophy, images, news stories, and editorials of the website. Every individual who has been involved has been essential to making the firm what it is today.

  • Shaun Connell. Stand Strong Research is owned and edited by Shaun Connell, the founder of the website and the entire financial network. That’s me. This website is my baby.
  • Staff Writers. The website currently has 4 staff writers and myself who all work together to digest financial and economic news and editorials. We also have dozens of guest writers who contribute articles when opportunity arises. All work is analyzed and edited by multiple authors before receiving publishment via final review by myself.
  • Graphics Design. Graphics design, including the logo at the top left of the design, was done by Pederson Photography & Design. All other graphics are also designed by Pederson Photgraphy and Design, including bio pictures of staffers.
  • Web Design. This website was designed by SproutVenture, an extremely professional web development group that I’ve worked with for years. I’ve never had a problem in any way with SproutVenture. This web design will soon be offered to the public at Stand Strong Media.

Over the next few years, you’ll be seeing more of Stand Strong Research as we publish more news, more editorials, and plan essential economics, investing, and finance courses for the public.
